Travel information
Leicester is a great location, central to England and offers easy access from across the country. There are many ways to get to MarketEd.Live 2023; we encourage you to use public transport where possible.
Rail
Leicester is on the Midland Mainline, from London to Sheffield. It is also accessible from many other areas directly.
From London
East Midlands Railway leaves from London St. Pancras International. Fast trains have Leicester as the first stop and will take just over one hour. Slower trains that stop at places like Luton, Bedford, Kettering tend to be a bit cheaper. We recommend travelling off-peak.
From the North East
If you’re travelling from the North East, the easiest route is probably via Sheffield or Peterborough.
From the North West
If you’re travelling from the North West, the easiest route is probably via Nuneaton or Sheffield.
From the South West/Wales
If you’re travelling from the South West or Wales, the route is likely to go via Birmingham. Birmingham New Street is a large station with many different zones, entrances and exits. Give yourself time to change.
From Scotland
If you’re travelling from Scotland, you have the choice of starting on the East Coast or West Coast mainlines. Follow the info for the North East/North West above.
INDUSTRIAL ACTION
There is currently industrial action on the railways which may affect your travel to and from the event. Keep up to date with your train operating company to see how you may be affected and get in touch with us if you need advice on your arrangements.
Coach
Leicester Coach Station is an 18 minute walk to The Venue@DMU. Coaches to Leicester will typically be from the following companies:
Car
Leicester is easily accessible by road. There is some limited parking at the event venue for people with a disabled blue badge. Please contact us if you need to use this so we can organise this.
