FILI WIESE - Optimizing for Search Bots

Are search bots going crazy on your website? Is your content not being crawled or not fast enough? Are you ready for mobile crawling and indexing? This session will have highly actionable SEO tips for all levels of experience.

11.45 - 12.15

GAVIN BELL - Advertising: Why most of us suck at it... and how to change that

Let's be honest, we hate ads. Our customers hate ads. Even my 3-year-old nephew knows how to skip ads on Youtube. Which poses the question, how can we as marketers advertise profitably and in a way that doesn't piss our potential customers off? In this high energy talk, Gavin will walk us through how to create and run ads that your customers will LOVE to see.

12.15 - 12.45

ELIZABETH STOKOE - What does it mean to be conversational?

This session will change the way you think about conversation - about what it means to be 'conversational' and the big pay-offs in understanding conversation scientifically. Using examples from real interactions in talk and online, between friends, partners, colleagues, police officers, salespeople, mediators, doctors and many others, you will learn that some of what you think you know about talk is wrong. But you will also uncover fresh insights about how to have better conversations – using the evidence from fifty years of research about the science of talk.

12.45 - 13.45

We've got a super lunch lined up for you! More time for networking.

13.45 - 14.15

ROB TEMPLE & KENNEDY - Turning Feedback Into (More) Sales

Rob and Kennedy spill the beans on the fancy psychology (and a really simple automated campaign) that triggers high-converting sales conversations, right when people are most likely to buy from you. Use their ‘Mass Personalisation’ techniques to ‘read the minds’ of your customers and make even more sales from a chunk of your business that most people ignore.

14.15 - 14.45

JORDIE WILDIN - Unpacking advertising's difficult relationship with diversity and how we move forward

Brands and agencies have a complex relationship with diversity. We tell ourselves that diversity is good for business. That diversity will help us to stand out, diversity is morally right and integral to future-proofing our business. We host panels on diversity and write articles on diversity for our industry news. And yet, when it comes to doing diversity we falter. We make excuses. It's 'difficult'. In this talk I'll be drawing on my own experiences as a cofounder of a diversity network, to explore why agencies and brands find doing diversity difficult, what small steps agencies can implement to effect greater change across your business, and what the impacts are when you do diversity well.

14.45 - 15.15

More coffee! No nana napping this afternoon for you!

15.15 - 15.45

PANEL - How do we create content that audiences can trust?

In a world of deep-fakes, CGI, secret political ads and a severe lack of trust, how can we create content that people trust and drives people towards the outcomes we're looking for? This panel discussion will focus on different marketing methods and how we need to adapt our content for 2020.

15.45 - 16.30

PHYLECIA JONES - Speak to Market: Getting on Stage to Grow Your Business, Authority and Trust

Fear, not knowing what to say, and assumptions are what keep a lot of business owners, companies and brands from using one of the most powerful marketing methods since the beginning of time…their voice in front of an audience. Public speaking has a way of closing the know, like and trust factor faster than many highly budgeted ad or social media campaigns. In this session, Phylecia Jones will break down why speaking works when it comes to marketing, how to craft a speaking campaign to put a consistent face in front of your target market, review several methods to get on stage fast and how to leverage your brand recognition and credibility.
